Happy New Year....

..to you all....

...I have at last managed to get the blog onto the Tablet....aka Tabby....but still got some issues with it :)....like how to add photos...

This could be a problem as I've joined a 'daily snappers' group which aims to guide us in taking photos every day....on a positive note I've managed to follow their blog which has the calendar and prompts on it...lol

So on that I'll wish you all well and see you in 2014....Joy...BB

Been a while....

...well life got busy there, although the Boy survived and did well with his exams, and grandad survived the surgery and made it home three months (to the day)...but there was lots of driving and rearrangement over these past weeks....

I was going to show you one of the new cuts I've done during this time, but I can't get the system to upload at the moment :(....never mind next time...

Busy As A....

Bee...well it feels like a whole hive full :)

These are my big Bumble Bees...they are great fun and fill a small card with ease.

I've been busy with cutting, but also my Son has had his first lot of exams at school, and my Grandad was diagnosed with a cancerous mass on his colon so he's now in hospital recovering from the surgery, so now it's a matter of visiting :)

My next cutting adventure is going to be the beach huts...in some lovely pastel colours which I have already selected :)

Still Too Cold...

And Too Wet...to be going to the allotment...but this little shed and the cute flowers are making me look forward to when it will be warm and sunny again so I can get on with the gardening ;)....

Of course, they can be used to accent photos of your own garden, but also wish others a happy birthday, or even a happy retirement ...quiet versatile lol....

New Year and New Listings...

I have had a reasonable quiet break, but not been well either, so it made it easier....and yesterday I was asked if I had anything in my 'stash' of dies that could go with the corsets for a 'goth' look birthday card...

so today I got to play with my 'kinky boots' die....aren't they cute... :) ...I've done them in black here and also played with three shades of pink, which, even if I say so myself, look fabulous :)

The customer has opted for a selection in purple, which will look cool with the corset, and they go in the post in the morning...I'll list them properly when we get back from our swimming session at lunch time....

Christmas is coming…

And I'm no were near ready…where does the time go, I mean its not as if its a surprise holiday!!!

Having said that we have spent the last month getting ready for my Sister-in-Law's 50th Birthday in Leicester, taking a cake, favours and table decorations…now I can do the Winter Solstice before my Aunt prepares for her 50th :)

The picture shows a special order from Australia who's daughter loves pigs and wanted to make a Christmas card for her …I love hearing why and what people are using the cuts for …

Autumnal Weather...

Has arrived...in fact it's nearly Winter!! The clocks have gone back and the heating has gone on with the wooly jumpers :) .... I've also managed to work out why I couldn't get the photo's to upload from the phone, which is why all my good intentions of regular blogs went out the window again :)... Ready to do better <3

So, although I have jumped a celebration, I wanted to show you the Winter Fairies... They are not a new cut, but the system at eBay didn't like my old photo, so here's the new one....not overly glittery but enough to enhance the card or page with a little sparkle :)

Howdy Folks....

 

Oh it's weird being on the PC doing a post again...lol...

these are some dies that are new to my listings...with Dr Who having just done a Cowboy theme and the bread advert has a little cowboy...there seems to be quiet a lot of Yee Hawing going on...:)....These are in Blues, but I've also done Black and White, Browns and then Pinks for the Girls :)....equal opportunities...time for a female Sheriff

 

I've also become slightly addicted to Pinterest...and of course with a phone app it's so easy to sit down with a coffee and an hour has passed...so many great idea's ... but I can't for the life of me, work out how to add a Pin It button to the Blog...of course if I don't toot my own trumpet who is going to do it for me...

 

Still for now I must be off, as there is a little gardening at the allotment to be done in the morning, even if it's raining appartently!!!!...thanks for reading..BB .. Joy x

A Stitch in Time....

Saves Nine....nine what I don't know but I'm sure I'll find out :) .... Of course the other popular phrase during the Wars of 'Make Do And Mend' is also making a come back at this time, but for those of us that craft this little set is in regular use :)

I've been helping my Mum sort through my Great Aunt's linen cupboard recently, as she had to go into a home, and we are finding works dating back in style to the 1920's :)....will there be work for my great nieces to find in years to come????

Back to School....

is always a dodgy time....a New School...A New Class...A New Uniform....together with New Classrooms and New Teachers....for some Kids it's a very intense time...of course it's also intense for the Mum's too....I've been running round in circles this week as the Boy is starting two seperate courses at the same College...but having been told the timetable in July....which is usually set...it's now got  to change....I'm confused and I don't have to leave the house!!!!

However...I am doing some new cuts, and these cut backbacks would be great on a Scrapbook page for starting school :)...or other activities of course...Sports, Camping, Day Trips...

I have been busy doing other new cuts and keeping busy working, but I have read in a magazine the I should be updating the blog three times a week....together with other social media sites...but I'm lucky if I remember, or get the chance, to up date it once a month!!!....However I am getting better as that is now three months in a row I have posted :)....

So my challenge for this month is to post every week ....here we go ....and thanks for reading, Joy x

Ladies of Fashion....

Would of course need a hat :) ... They are coming back into fashion, much to my Mothers relief :)

This is a set a sent out last month and was going to blog about Ascot and the horse racing, but as ever got inundated .. But in a positive way as a lady asked for a variety of 'Mad Hats' for her wedding invitations ... Based on the Mad Hatters Tea Party :) so I had great fun with feathers, bows, buttons and glitter.... And she sent a lovely message back saying they were fabulous ... ( that's why I spend the time and energy doing this ) ....

So tomorrow after our swimming session I'm back to cutting ... Bit it must be the summer holidays as I'm being asked for Father Christmas cuts now lol

Running Round....

Like a headless chicken...but these girls have theirs :) ...and this week they have been very popular so I've been scratching around (get it??) to complete six sets... :)

With all this rain I've also had a lot of orders for the knitting toppers...everyone been wearing woollies I think ... so this morning I popped out to restock on the primary colours, a lovely red and blue, gorgeous green and a bright yellow :)

Now I have to go and sort the back garden and garage out while it's not raining and I have a hand from Dad :)

A Long Time Ago....

Pink Owls for a Girl

Here are some owls I made a couple of weeks ago... Customer was after some for Party Invites...really cute :)....I have also just been asked if I can do them in Pink and Green for a Little Girls Bedroom...would look really cute, but I think they might be a bit small as Decoration....

Another collection

These are those fluffy dice for the front of cars... They originate from the WW1 American pilots who would put real dice in their copit for good luck... Now they are a fashion accessory, but isn't it a history :)

Oh My....

It's been a while since I last posted hasn't it...:(...sorry about that...but I have been busy with some new cuts, and of course keeping up with orders....

Here is one of the new cuts...Hello Kitty with Balloons...a bit smaller than the other Kitty cuts, but great for cards, or a small embellishment on a scrapbook page...

We're on half term holidays this week....and although I get a lie-in there is still so much to do...at least there is no threat of rain today, so lots of washing is getting done...

Am off out in half hour to pop a cheque into the bank...so better get a move on...thanks for reading...Joy x x

Dolls ......

These are for the girls again :) ... I will get some boy stuff done next ... x x

These are my first attempt with this die and I've only been able to work out how to do two of the designs, there are three hair cuts but these could be changed too... and also felt they needed to be in patterns ... :) ... Although I could do plain colours if preferred ....

I also think they look like the message dolls, which I can't recall the name of at the moment... and so would be suitable for any age ... and any message :) ....

New Looks ....

We all like to have a change now and then, and as Spring is now with us we are looking at the new colours and styles ... This is a new cut, but when I made them I thought I had broken my camera so only took a photo with the phone ... And here it is ... My camera is now fixed so I'll sort the listing out this weekend ...

It's the kids treat tonight, with pizza and play session ... I don't have to get up Sunday, so it really will be a day of rest :) ... Have a good weekend folks and thanks for looking ... Joy x x

Birthday Cake ....

Now what can I do ... In a couple of weeks it's Gareth's and Chloe's 13th birthdays... Only born two days apart but didn't meet til they were seven :) ... But they both love the colour pink so our joint party this year is going to have a pink cake... Although to be honest he's had a pink cake every year :D

These cuts are quite time consuming as they have four layers.... And although they are small the 3D aspect is really effective ... I've only done them in pink and blue here but they are so adaptable :)

Glamour Girls ....

For a night on the town or an elegant lunch ... You have to look your best ... These cute little die cuts can give the invite some elegance too...

What I need to do is sort my camera out :( .... Managed to drop my bag with it in and crack the screen ...doh ... Have today ordered a proper camera bag and C ordered a new screen .... Will be back to normal again soon :) x x
